Description

Want to experience theory and practice in small online chunks, reflect on inspiring stories, and work through fun games and team exercises in a virtual learning environment?

In these 4 virtual Management 3.0 learning sessions we will explore these important questions:

  • How can we motivate our team and colleagues?
  • How can we create structures for more autonomous teams?
  • How can we improve teamwork and team collaboration?
  • How can we build a team culture that embraces experiments?

It’s all about collaborating to find the most efficient and engaging way for an organization and/or a team to achieve its goals while constantly prioritizing a flourishing, happy, innovative work environment. "Agile Inspired Team Practices" is a highly engaging online workshop with the sole focus to inspire and give tools for team members and managers to transform their workplaces.

During the four virtual learning sessions (each 120 minutes), participants will experience theory and practice in small chunks, reflect on inspiring stories, work through fun games and team exercises; and have time for focused group discussions on how to apply the new knowledge back at work. "The Agile Inspired Team Practices" will weave theory and hands-on teams’ practices together to accomplish a truly engaging, applicable, and experiential online learning workshop.

We will primarily be using zoom with break-out rooms for our sessions but also visit other online tools for our collaborative learning and discussions. To enhance the learning there will be material to view (articles & videos) as well as dialog with learning partners between sessions (estimated prep 1 hour per session).

Format

The workshop is made up of four 120 minute, interactive online sessions each with a separate focus:

October 3: Complexity Thinking and the Impact on our Workplaces
October 10: Motivation & Engagement (what are our incentives and competences?)
October 17: Delegation & Empowerment (how to start self-organization within your team)
October 24: Build a Culture of Experimentation (learning from the success and failure of experiments)

Start time for all sessions are 8am PST / 11am EST / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET

New to Agile and Management 3.0?

Management 3.0 started out as a book of the same name written by leadership guru Jurgen Appelo back in 2010. Since then, Management 3.0 has grown into a global movement with huge popularity in Europe and a growing community in the Americas.

This online "Agile Inspired Team Practices" workshop is based on the theoretical framework from the book Management 3.0 as well as Snowden’s Cynefin framework. Theory is mixed with the highly valuable games and tools from the Managing For Happiness publication. Managing for Happiness is jam-packed with engaging methods and ideas for hands-on experiments.

This online workshop isn't covering all of the Management 3.0 material but only equivalent to a 1-day workshop so you will not be certified by taking the online workshop alone. To achieve Management 3.0 certification you will need to share your experiments with seven of the Management 3.0 practices. Part of the online workshop will give guidance and ideas on how to experiment with the practices.

You will learn the basics of Management 3.0 and how to use these great practices in your team and organization:

  • Delegation Poker
  • Happiness Wall
  • Kudo Cards
  • Moving Motivators
  • Celebration Grid
  • and much more ...

Who should join?

Join this online workshop if you are a team leader, scrum master, change agent, a passionate influencer, coach, involved team member, agile developer, manager or HR leader in your organization.

If you want to be a great people leader regardless of title, this workshop is for you! Get inspired to experiment with new tools and practices to support your work and your team colleagues!
