At the young age of 12, Koen already set his first steps in software development. The TRS-80 and the TI99-4a didn't have much power nor many options but they were enough. Later Koen would move into Assembler, WP/Lotus 1-2-3 macro language, dBase 3 and 4, Lotus Notes, Java, ABAP and everything Web. But being bossed around wasn't Koen's style. And so he joined the ranks of Project Managers, including the "Is it done yet?" and "Mwah, that doesn't look that hard" quota, thinking there must be a better way to do this.
In 1998 Koen made his first research steps into Agile. In 2005 Koen started his first project trying to incorporate all Agile ideas and ideals. In 2008 Koen had his first Scrum Master assignment. In 2013 Koen was coaching a department of 13 Scrum teams and thought "Dude, this management here really doesn't get it". And so his interest in Agile Management was born.
Koen has been working as an Agile Coach for a couple of years. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching every course you can imagine in the Agile world, culminating in him authoring a course on "The Product Backlog". As Agiliste.me Koen will further the ultimate goal of Agile World Domination by teaching as many people as possible about the principles and practices of everything Agile, including (but again not limited to) Management3.0
Also; Scotland, Whiskey, Denmark, World of Warcraft, Sketchnoting and just about anything that someone can talk passionately about.
