John has over 30 years of Information Technology (IT) experience with his last 18 years in the role as Project Manager and Agile Coach Master. He managed projects of different scale, project size from dozen man-days to hundred man-years, for Government/Public Utilities/FSI sectors. In particular, John proactively adopted SCRUM/Lean/Kanban techniques to problematic projects and successfully turning them from red to green.

He worked for Hong Kong Government Information Technology Service Department’s (renamed as Office of Government Chief Information Officer) Methodology Support team and developed various standards and guidelines for project management and software development life cycle. He conducted training to end users at various Government departments/bureaus on system development life cycle, and also provide regular training to system managers and analyst/programmers on the Government standards and system analysis/design techniques. He also worked with external consultants to implement and pilot Rapid Application Development method for Hong Kong Government.

On top for agile coaching and project management, John profile also covered roles as quality assurance manager, release manager, resources manager and oversee the operation for offshore development center in mainland china.

Over the course of last 4 years, John worked as Engagement Manager for software vendor to manage implementation of software products using SCRUM for various customers throughout Asia Pacific.
