With remote working on the rise, we have become used to video conferences, virtual team meetings or just the occasional conversation in Zoom. Video helps us to communicate efficiently and build trust more easily, as we are able to see the facial expressions and physical responses of the people at the other end of the conversation.
Video doesn’t only give us the chance to see the person we are talking to, it also gives us a glimpse into their working environment.

And there is another perspective we should take into account: When we invite somebody to a company event or a meeting, we don’t let them sit in a kitchen or dark office.
