At Management 3.0 we don’t just like to talk about happiness, we like to put it into action.
So how do we do that? By curating content from the industry’s thought leaders and influencers about the best ways to implement tangible, practical daily happiness doses into your life.
Our mission statement at Management 3.0 is: Redefining leadership to create happier people and successful organizations. While most of our Management 3.0 content focuses on practical tools and tips to foster a better workplace culture, it’s also important for us to hone in on the practicality of happiness. What does living and embracing a happy life truly look like both personally and professionally?
Why does it matter to have happy people at work? When we’re happier we’re engaged, we’re motivated and we take ownership not just for our work but for the company as well. This in turn leads to greater all-round success and profitability.
So how can we make being happiness at work the ‘norm’ and not the exception. Below are some tangible resources to read, listen to and explore if you want to take a practical, hands-on approach to being happier.
Happiness is something we create, it is not something to achieve. It is a path you choose not a destination to arrive at.
Jurgen Appelo, Managing for Happiness

What is happiness and how do we know what makes us happy? While writing his book, Managing for Happiness, Jurgen Appelo spent time researching and learning about what makes people tick and what drives us to live happy, productive and fulfilling lives. After reading online articles and delving into works such as The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor, Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert, The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt and Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh, he synthensized the results into what he’s coined as the 12 steps to happiness (all backed by science).
