The “new normal” is faced with many complex challenges, creating urgency and need for high-performing teams in every organization. Several academic research have proven the correlation between accountability, psychological safety and productivity (Patrick Lencioni, 5 dysfunctions of teams), (Amy Edmondson, The Fearless Organizations), (Roger Connors, The wisdom of OZ).
This workshop will reveal the building blocks of high performing Agile teams and why fostering a culture of accountability in the team is the answer.
The foundation of this workshop is based on the research of Roger Connors, explained in his bestselling book “The Wizard of OZ”, where by using the analogy of the story, we are correlating the Scrum values: courage, commitment, transparency, openness and respect, with the main characters of the fable: Dorothy, The Lion, The Tinmen, The Scarecrow and The Wizard of OZ.
When we speak about instilling accountability in our team, we must have the courage (The Lion) to see the obstacles before they arise. To have heart (The Tin men) and accept ownership of these challenges, even if they aren’t directly related to our work. To have the wisdom (The Scarecrow) to solve these obstacles by finding solutions even when they aren’t visible at the moment. Finally, to have the willpower (Dorothy) to do and deliver the working solution. By using this model we are instilling Agile values in our teams.
Learning outcomes
We will share a range of tools for coaching teams to high performance as: Moving motivators, Blame game cards, Feedback wrap, powerful questions cards, coaching contract canvas to get you started your journey to accountability and engage your people in joyful, simple and creative way.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to gain practical tools and methods to start applying Coaching to Accountability for improving the collaboration, increasing productivity and happiness within your team.
Training agenda
December 4 & 5th, from 17.00 to 21.00 CET – Learn the building blocks of HP teams and the leadership approach for empowering teams to high performance by building accountability. Creating inspiring culture with coaching to accountability and continuous feedback for improvement the performance, happiness and innovation in the team. Discover a unique 4 step coaching model ABCD (Awareness, Buy-in, Creation and Delivery) with a set of powerful questions for each step, to guide your people from the "Blame game" into high performance. Use a set of initiative cards, to brainstorm possible solutions and create an action plan for execution.
What do you get?
As an attendee of this workshop, you will learn the basic coaching skills (contracting, asking powerful questions, 3 levels of mindful listening, summarizing, reflective practice and coaching ethics). You'll also receive a M3.0 "Coaching 2 Accountability Certificate of Attendance.
You will receive several coaching tools in printable version and also a virtual version of the tools, designed for Miro.
The training is designed on several bestselling books and for some of them you’ll receive the summaries, free chapters, audio books and key points.
During the onboarding process, you'll be connected on e-learning platform, where you can read books and articles, watch videos and work on various assignments with the cohort. Your connection on the platform is permanent and the content is continuously updated and upgrading.

Training delivery
The training will be delivered online on Zoom and Miro, on December 4 and 5, from 17.00 to 21.00 CET. Check your time zone! We’re working in pairs, groups, analyzing case study, playing role plays, practicing coaching tools and practices. You’ll get the links for the platforms just after registration and payment.
You’ll need to provide stabile internet connection, camera, microphone and good will :)
The training will be delivered by Ilija Popjanev, agile coach, HR professional with deep business experience working for executive positions in international organizations as General motors, Opel, Good Year. Ilija holds PhD in organizational culture. Check participants testimonials!

Who should attend?
This is an intermediate level workshop and participants should have some work experience with some Agile framework and some basic knowledge in coaching.
Agile team leaders or aspiring team leaders with a passion for servant leadership and a desire to learn and practice the art of coaching. Relevant roles include Agile Coaches and aspiring coaches, Scrum Masters, Agile Project Managers, Product Owners, Release train engineers, and anyone with the desire to explore the power of coaching and instilling Agile values in the team.
